Ribbons and a lace ruffle accent these feminine fingerless gloves. A playful hand painted yarn adds interesting speckles of color to the design.
The speckled, hand-painted yarn is a washable blend of 80% Fine Superwash Highland Wool and 20% Polyamide (Nylon). While these fingerless gloves can technically be machine washed in the delicate cycle and tumble dried on the lowest setting, I’d recommend hand washing them when possible to keep them nice for as long as possible.
These fingerless gloves were made in the USA; they were hand-crocheted by their designer (me!). This pair of gloves was one of the project samples for publication in a crochet pattern book called Delicate Crochet by Sharon Silverman. The low price of the gloves reflects the fact that this pair was a project sample. While they haven’t ever been worn as part of a person*s wardrobe, they did do some traveling around to trade shows in support of book sales.
If you want to make a pair of these fingerless gloves for yourself, you can! The pattern is available in Delicate Crochet. I have one paperback copy of the book for sale at half of its cover price. If you’d rather just have the pattern for the fingerless gloves instead of the entire book, I have digital PDFs of the pattern available for $5.50 each. The pattern includes international symbol crochet charts, written-out text instructions and color photographs. The pattern was tested by Sharon Silverman herself and was also tech edited by someone on the editorial team at Stackpole Books.
If you like these fingerless gloves, but the speckled green colorway isn’t quite what you want, I’d be glad to make you a different pair of these fingerless gloves, using the sock yarn / fingering weight yarn of your choice. My prices for custom work start at $125.00. Feel free to get in touch to discuss this possibility. I also have another pair of the same fingerless gloves in a speckled blue colorway already made up and available at the project sample price of $30.00.
Thanks so much for your interest.
