This elegant necklace makes a unique fashion statement for dressy occasions, yet it is so comfortable you might forget you*re wearing it. Exquisite organic cotton yarn and sophisticated gold-plated beads and toggle combine to give you a gorgeous fashion accessory that offers lasting value and eye appeal.
The beads and toggle are both genuine 14-Karat gold from the Gold Elegance collection by Cousin DIY. The yarn is Plymouth’s Bio Sesia, which was imported from Italy; it is 100% organic cotton.
The entire necklace measures 15 in. (38.1 cm) long including the toggle. The crocheted area of the necklace measures 14 1/4 in. (36.2 cm) by 1 in. (2.5 cm) excluding the toggle.
This necklace was made in the USA; it was hand-crocheted by its designer (me!). It was the project sample for publication in a crochet pattern book called Delicate Crochet by Sharon Silverman. The low price of the necklace reflects the fact that it was a project sample. While it hasn’t ever been worn as part of a person*s wardrobe, it did do some traveling around to trade shows in support of book sales.
If you want to make one of these necklaces for yourself, you can! The pattern is available in Delicate Crochet. I have one paperback copy of the book for sale at half of its cover price. If you’d rather just have the pattern for the necklace instead of the entire book, I have digital PDFs of the crochet necklace pattern available for $5.50 each. The pattern includes international symbol crochet charts, written-out text instructions and color photographs. The necklace pattern was tested by Sharon Silverman herself and was also tech edited by someone on the editorial team at Stackpole Books.
If you like this necklace design, but the yellow and gold color combination isn’t quite what you want, I’d be glad to make you your own necklace, using the colors and beads of your choice. My prices for custom work start at $125.00. Feel free to get in touch to discuss this possibility.
Thanks so much for your interest.
